Our Story
Since 1990, the same bench.
A father opened an atelier. His son grew up at the same workbench. Together, they devoted themselves to the most enduring interpretation of the classical.

The Founding
The second generation of an atelier
In 1990, in the heart of Ankara, a single workbench and a single decision: to live by the hand, not the line. The master who made that decision still stands at the same bench today — and beside him, the second generation.
Every piece Homlux makes is born after the order is placed. First the timber is chosen — walnut, mahogany or beech from the Black Sea. Then the carving: steel gouges, by hand, for hours. Then the gold leaf: 22 carat, laid with a fine brush and burnished to a patina.

Craftsmanship
Four materials, one signature
Every piece passes through four stages. These four stages are what make Homlux what it is.
- Timber
- Walnut, mahogany and beech — sourced from the Black Sea forests we know by name. These timbers form the skeleton of every piece, arriving at the bench after careful drying and preparation.
- Carving
- Classical motifs worked by hand with steel gouges — signed into every piece. The carving stage can take many hours of concentrated attention; there is no other way.
- Gold Leaf
- 22-carat gold laid with a fine brush and burnished into a patinaed finish. This stage gives every piece its most distinctive visual identity.
- Fabric
- Bursa silk and French velvet, hand-stitched until the form is found. Only natural fibres are used; every seam is made to outlast the hands that sewed it.

Showroom & Atelier
See the collection in person
Homlux's only showroom stands immediately beside the atelier. The craftsman who carved the piece on display, the bench it was made on, the shelf where its fabric was chosen — all in the same visit.
The current season's collection, bespoke options and the full fabric palette are waiting for you. A single visit is the first step to composing a collection made for your salon.
Our Values
Three principles that do not change
- Craft
- Handwork is the core identity of Homlux. There are no shortcuts in production — because the quality of every piece is directly tied to the patience of its making.
- Heritage
- The same atelier, the same techniques and the same understanding of materials since 1990. This continuity is not an accident — it is a deliberate choice.
- Singularity
- We do not run serial production. Every piece is born after an order is placed and is made for that order alone. This singularity turns every Homlux piece into an object of collector value.
